Famous Industrialists

An industrialist can also be referred as a business magnate or business tycoon. In simple language an industrialist is basically an entrepreneur who earns a reputed status in a particular industry or a set of industries and earns the entire wealth from that particular sector. Fortune, self improvisation, hard work, entrepreneurship skills, business knowledge, proper investment ideas and so forth are the major prerequisites necessary for a person to become a famous industrialist. These famous industrialists have connections world wide and also known for their philanthropy works.

Some of the most popular business magnates of today’s world are Lakshmi Nivas Mittal, John D. Rockefeller, William Randolph Hearst, Bill Gates, Ratan Tata, and Mukesh Ambani.

Alike the present times, there have been numerous famous industrialists in the past. Some of the reputed industrialists worth mentioning are Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, Charles Luckman, Charles M. Schwab, Rockefeller, Konosuke Matsushita, William Danforth, Walther Rathenau, and Gustav Krupp. While discussing about famous industrialists the most famous name that needs to be talked about is Andrew Carnegie. Andrew Carnegie started off his career from scratch and reached the reputed status only with hard work, determination, self improving power and entrepreneurship qualities. He was the person who brought about a revolution in the steel industry with the foundation of Carnegie Steel Company. This company was noted for being the largest manufacturer of pig iron, coke and steel rails in the entire world. However, in 1901 this company was sold to J. P. Morgan’s U. S. Steel corporation.

In the automobile industry Henry Ford’s name has attained a secured and eminent position. The modern concept of assembly lines which is used during mass productions was brought into effect by this founder of the Ford Motor Company. During his times he became the richest person in the entire world, by being the sole owned of the well known Ford Company. His concept of costs, business and technical innovations are still referred to while starting off with a new business. The name of John Davison Rockefeller has a secured position in the petroleum industry. He is the founder of the Standard Oil Company and the first one in United States to become a billionaire. Rockefeller, as he is popularly referred as, is also one of the richest men in history. The Japanese industrialist, Konosuke Matsushita was the founder of Matsushita Electric. He is also referred to as ‘the god of management’. During the period of 1950 – 1973 Matsushita was known as one of the largest manufacturer of electrical goods in the world.

Photography was brought into use in a full-fledged manner by none other than George Eastman. He is the inventor of roll of films as well as the founder of world known company, Eastman Kodak Company. This great invention gave way to the popping up of motion picture film. These famous industrialists and many more have done an excellent job in their own industrial field and facilitated the global market to move on further.
